Comerica Park has been the home of the Detroit Tigers since 2000, replacing the historic Tiger Stadium at Michigan and Trumbull in Corktown. The 41,000-capacity ballpark sits in the middle of Detroit's Foxtown entertainment district on Woodward Avenue, directly across from the Fox Theatre and adjacent to Ford Field and Little Caesars Arena. Beyond baseball, Comerica hosts a handful of major outdoor concerts each summer — stadium-tour acts that need a 30,000+ outdoor capacity.
The Tigers' regular season runs from late March or early April through late September, with home games typically every other week alternating with road trips. Bobblehead nights, fireworks Fridays, and giveaway promotions drive single-game ticket demand on specific dates. Postseason games (when the team makes the playoffs) sell out fast. Concert season runs June through August in most years and bookings are announced rolling through winter and spring.
Practical notes: the easiest parking is in the structures along Adams, Brush, and the John R. lots within a block or two of the gates. Expect $20-50 for parking depending on event tier. The QLINE streetcar has a Foxtown stop one block from the main gate. Cheran's Bar (Slows BBQ owner) is the unofficial pre-game spot in the area. For Tigers games, the bleacher section and upper deck have the best per-dollar value; the Diamond Club and Tiger Den seats are the high-end options.
