The Crofoot Ballroom

The Crofoot is a multi-room concert venue in downtown Pontiac, occupying a historic 1880s commercial building on Saginaw Street. The complex includes the 1,500-capacity Crofoot Ballroom (the main upstairs room), the 500-capacity Pike Room (downstairs, more intimate), and the smaller Vernor's Room. Programming runs indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, punk, hardcore, and metal — bookings that draw 500-2,000 people from across Metro Detroit.

The Crofoot is the cultural anchor of downtown Pontiac's revitalization, alongside the Pontiac Flying Club restaurant directly next door and the surrounding Saginaw Street bar district. The venue's bookers have historically been ahead of the curve on emerging touring acts — many bands play the Pike Room first and graduate to the Ballroom on their next Detroit-area swing.

Practical notes: parking is the free public lot directly across Saginaw from the venue, plus street parking on surrounding blocks. The venue is a 25-30 minute drive from downtown Detroit via I-75; the Phoenix Center transit hub is a short walk for those using SMART bus routes. The Crofoot Diner inside the venue lobby serves food before and during shows. General admission shows reward arriving at doors.
